THK Tower, a permanent data sculpture on Bali, is a sophisticated digital canvas that tells the narrative.
The entire show is an ever-changing, unique experience generated in real time and based on a distinct local concept: Tri Hita Karana—the philosophy of the Balinese people, which symbolizes harmony with the divine, between people, and with nature. Containing over 1,200 light devices and 360-degree projection mapping, it brings generative art to the public every night.
No two nightly shows are ever the same. The algorithm at the heart of the display is a living entity, constantly evolving, so, the code reimagines the patterns, ensuring longevity and relevance taking it back to its roots in circularity and sustainability. THK Tower is created as the collaboration of Arthur Mamou-Mani, Chiko Wirahadi and 4 international digital artists who focus on making generative art through code.
Using a custom web application, viewers can interact with the installation by creating their own design and prompting it to a sculpture. The settings are translated into code, integrating personal expressions into public art, making each show a collective, ever-changing masterpiece.
We are truly proud of this work. Everything you can imagine is DELIVERED.
